Last day of Korean School

All I can say is the past 2 years have gone by very quickly and I have to wonder how fast the next year will go by. Last Friday Feb 17 was Zane's last day of Korean school. The Korean school year runs from March to February with breaks here and there for summer, winter and all of the Korean holidays as well. I know he has enjoyed his time at the school but it is not time to start preparing for kindergarten in the fall. Zane and I will work on his writing skills, math skills, buttoning and zipping skills along with some science projects, which he loves, and some adventures through the Korean countryside. There are so many parks and places to visit and we will have lots of picnic lunches and bike rides.

Here are some pictures from the performance and graduation that took place at Zane's school on the 18th.

The graduating class. This would be equal to our kindergarten.

This is the award that Zane received- makes everyone laugh and smile. He even told us that his classmates loved it when he would pull his pants down. Took all we had not to laugh ourselves but we did let him know that pulling his pants down in class is not a good thing. Guess we have a class clown on our hands!

The entire school singing together-a farewell song.

Cooking Class

Today was a day that was for Zane. He got to have a lot of kid fun and spend a lot of time with his friends. This afternoon we met up with another family to go check out an airplane that has a coffee shop for the big kids and a play area and cooking school for the little kids. We did sign all the kids up for cooking lessons and they had a blast. They made Madeline's and they are yummy!  Here are some pictures of today's adventures.

All dressed and waiting for class to begin.

Adjusting his hat. The instructor behind him did a great job!

What?

Mixing the butter and sugar.

Mixing after adding the eggs.

after adding the flour-he said his arm was getting tired.

waiting to put the dough in the form

Putting the dough in the pan. This was hard for Zane to do as he doesn't like to get his hands dirty.

All done.
